Minor-Ndako works as an NGO with vulnerable kids, mostly unaccompanied refugee kids who escaped worldwide war & terror zones. Sport is an important lever in the personal development of these kids. Sport connects, distracts and boosts the self-esteem.
Both Minor-Ndako and ThinkTalent wanted not only to let these kids play in the unknown but wanted them to participate in an official football competition.
For the first time a team of refugee kids participates in the official Brussels indoor football competition and they do that with proudness. The famous former Belgian international and worldwide acclaimed football coach Erik Gerets kicked it off. The national television covered it as a sport item in their evening news.
“Participating in a real competition helps them integrating in the most concrete way. A professional setting and professional outfits makes them feel proud!”
